Upgraded to B2evolution 1.8.2

One of the things I love about B2evolution is the rate of releasing new and patched versions. There have been 3 releases in the past 3 months, with the latest (1.8.2 aka “Serenity") released just yesterday. Like all minor version releases, 1.8.2 is mostly fixing some bugs, but there are some improvements to both speed and stability as well. After comparing the new version to the last version (1.8.1 RC) there were a few dozen changes that need to be moved over. If you’re upgrading and have a customized skin, pay attention to the changes to the skin files. They are minor, but shouldn’t be overlooked.
I’ve been working with B2evolution long enough to have installed, re-installed or upgraded enough times to know that it can be a pain if not done properly. In a future post, I’ll detail some steps you can take to make upgrading easier.
As an aside - if you’re any sort of anal retentive coder like I am, you will appreciate that a few of the patches were simply adjusting white space and comments in the code base. When it comes to inline documentation and clean coding practices, the B2evo team takes the cake.

I need to stick one blog only.
Sorry about may English and question. I am not a coder. But like to be a modifier :-) I've been read all your post about coding at B2V forum and this blog. Interesting.
Well,... Can I receive announcement from my email, if this comment had reply? Maybe from you or other? :-)
Thank You..

In my opinion, WordPress has the better administration area to date and their implementation of the Akismet anti-spam plug-in is better than b2evolution's. On the other hand, b2evolution is very flexible and has a great plug-in architecture.
If you like to tinker, or need multi-blog support, go with b2evolution (their support community on the forums is great, too). If you just need to get a single blog up and running with little hassle, go with WordPress or blogger.com.
The b2evolution administration area is certainly not for lack of features, but it is a bit rough around the edges as of 1.8.2. I'm sure future releases will improve on this.
