We had a great time
January 20th, 2007This past Monday (thank you go Martin Luther King Jr.) I got the day off. I decided to spend it with my beautiful niece (now 9). It was a wonderful day (she even got to sleep over my house). Anyways, we visited grandma and grandpa's first. Here is a picture of Grandma Treasie with her grand-daughters. How lucky we all are to have such wonderful children in our lives.

2 years 10 months
December 14th, 2006Maelin is almost three. Where does the time go? She is funnier by the day. Although with her new antics she is much more frustrating since she tests her boundaries daily. Flailing feet have caught Raya in the head a total of 3 times so far (poor kid). Generally she loves her sister and is very gentle with her. She loves to hold her and kiss her. She talks to her and plays with her. It is so nice.
Maelin loves to sing for anyone who doesn't already know. She knows the tune of every song she can sing and belts out the words like nobody's business. It's awesome. We woke up the other morning to Maelin's wonderful voice. She must have sang for 20 minutes.
She also loves jumping...jumping over things, off of things you name it and she'll jump it. She is a dare devil and I love it.
12 weeks: December 14
December 14th, 2006Raya is 12 weeks old this week. I can hardly believe how fast the time flies by. I am so glad that Chris and I have been able to have so much time at home with the girls. It breaks my hear to think that Raya has to go to daycare at all and it re-breaks my heart thinking that we have put Maelin in daycare for so long. *tearing up*
So about Raya...she is gorgeous. We love her and she is a super-duper great baby. She has been sleeping through the night for 1 week now and it is AMAZING. She often sleeps 10-12 hours (waking usually only 2-3 times to nurse). She loves to be awake all day with us. She usually snoozes for 20 minutes when I put Maelin down to nap which is wonderful. She smiles the most beautiful smiles and even makes Maelin giggle with them. She coos and talks a lot, rolls to her right side and burps VERY loudly. She is the perfect little angel and we are so lucky to have her.
Time to blog and upload photos
December 8th, 2006I can't believe it...I have time to do this so here goes. While we were driving home from New York, Chris happened to look back at Maelin while he was driving. He all of a sudden blurted out, "Oh, my god." I asked what and he quietly said, "We have a tiger in the back seat." When I turned around here is what surprised us both...

Oh sweet sleep
December 8th, 2006I am such a better person when I get some sleep. My wonderfully angelic children have enabled me to get 8 FULL hours of sleep for two nights this week and would have enabled me to get the same for three nights in a row if I hadn't gone to bed so late on my own. How can this be you ask. I am so blessed to have two of the most wonderful little girls who for the moment value sleep above all else (including driving me nuts!). And for your viewing pleasure here are my angels at work....
